Reporting an incorrect result

These are the messages most worth sending, and they get answered first. To make a report actionable, please include:

  • The calculator name, or a link to its page
  • The exact values you entered
  • The result you got, and the result you expected
  • Where your expected figure comes from, if you have a source

Every calculator's formula is covered by unit tests, so a confirmed error becomes a failing test and then a fix. You can see how this works on the about page.

Requesting a calculator

Suggestions are welcome. It helps to say what you need it for and, if the calculation follows a published formula or standard, to link the source — a regulator, standards body, health authority or specification. Calculators with an authoritative source behind them are the ones that get built.

Embedding a calculator

Every calculator can be embedded on your own site, as an iframe or as a web component; the Embed button on any calculator page gives you the code. The terms of use cover what embedding permits. If something does not work in your setup, send the page you are embedding into and what you are seeing.

Privacy and data requests

Questions about data handling go to the same address. Note that DevCalcs holds no accounts and never receives what you type into a calculator — the privacy policy explains what this means for access and deletion requests.

Response times

This is a solo project maintained alongside other work, so replies are not instant. Reports of incorrect results are prioritised over everything else.
