Using the site
DevCalcs is free to use. You may use the calculators for personal or commercial purposes without permission or attribution. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, or use automated means to overload it.
The calculators are not professional advice
This is the part that matters most. The calculators on this site are general informational tools. They are not:
- Financial advice. The finance calculators do not account for your full circumstances, tax position, fees, or changes in rates over time. They are not a recommendation to take out a loan, open an account, or make an investment. Speak to a qualified, regulated financial adviser before acting on any figure produced here.
- Medical advice. The health calculators produce general estimates from population-level formulas. They cannot assess an individual, and are not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Speak to a qualified healthcare professional about your health.
- Legal or tax advice. Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Decisions you make on the basis of a result from this site are your own. See how the calculators are built for what is and is not checked.
Accuracy
The formulas are tested and, where they implement a published standard, cited against an authoritative source on the relevant calculator page. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability.
Errors are possible, and results depend entirely on the inputs you provide. If you find a result you believe is wrong, please report it to contact@devcalcs.io so it can be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevCalcs and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its calculators — including financial loss, lost profits, or consequential damages.
Embedded calculators
Calculators may be embedded on other sites using the embed options provided. In doing so you agree not to misrepresent the calculator as your own original work where the embed is presented, not to modify it so as to produce misleading results, and to accept that embeds are provided without any guarantee of continued availability or unchanged behaviour. Everything in these terms — particularly the advice and accuracy sections above — applies equally to embedded calculators.
Third-party links
Calculator pages link to external sources such as regulators, standards bodies and health authorities. Those sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
